Skin Free Review and Giveaway - CLOSED

First Impression: When I first opened my package from Skin Free Skincare, I was very excited!  Before kids I used to get monthly manicures and pedicures, and my feet and hands were always soft and pretty.  Well along with the decision to stay home with my babies came some sacrifices, and unfortunately the manis and pedis were part of the cutbacks.  My beautifully manicured toes and silky moisturized feet have become hard and rough.  In fact, when my feet would rub up against my husband he would jump!  So the jar I looked forward to using the most from my Skin Free Skincare's Skin Renewal Kit was the hand and foot scrub.

Style/Choices:  There are so many allergen free products here to choose from!  Facial, body, blemish, mother-baby, soaps and scrubs, and even gift sets!
Functionality: Can I just say that I am in love?  After using the hand and foot scrub with a pumice stone on my gross and rough feet they are finally starting to smooth out!  No more cracks, flaking, or rough patches!  I am a true believer!  The acai scrub has given my face a wonderful glow, and the sugar scrub makes my skin tingle and feel so refreshed!

How it Promotes a Healthy Lifestyle:  Your epidermis is the largest organ in your body, and sometimes gets ignored.  It only makes sense that for overall health you need to take good care of your skin.  Wash away all of the dead skin cells and let your skin breathe!

Information from the site:
All products distributed by Blue Ridge Gypsy Studio™ are designed and formulated by owner and practicing pharmacist, Julie Hilton, who has over 30 years experience in compounding and natural skin care. “I started the Studio in 2000 when my husband and I moved to the Blue Ridge of Virginia. Our friends were calling us “gypsies”, so the name evolved naturally.”
“Working in a typical retail pharmacy setting, I was constantly frustrated when asked to recommend products for patients with difficult skin problems, especially those with fragrance allergies. I recognized a void in the market and knew that I could offer effective and affordable products to fill it. Atopic dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis are life-long conditions and need to be addressed for the long term. Patients with diabetes or renal disease, pregnant women, babies, the elderly, and patients treated with radiation therapy can all benefit from quality natural products. Even people who just have dry, sensitive skin can appreciate wholesome natural skincare products.”
“Since I personally suffer from chronic allergies and eczema, I understand that it is very important for people with these conditions to maintain the integrity of their skin and reduce their exposure to antigens to help prevent acute outbreaks. These diseases can be quite debilitating and cause increase depression, work loss, and pain."
Naturally occurring vegetable oils and butters contain indigenous nutrients, antioxidants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), and antibacterial agents that petroleum-based oils just don’t have. Natural oils absorb into the skin and do not feel greasy. They also come from replenishable sources, which is a great environmental concern.
"I hope that SkinFree™ products will become widely used and be truly helpful to the ever increasing patient population who need products such as these."

Cost Effective: For the quality of these products, this is a very good price.  I have tried numerous over the counter products to heal my dry feet issues, and this is the only one that has ever worked!

Pros:
  • Soft beautiful feet
  • glowing skin
  • pleasant smell
  • well priced

Cons:
  • the jars leaked a little bit in the mail
