Real Bodywork's Gentle Practice Yoga DVD Review and Giveaway - CLOSED

For those of you who know me well, you know that Yoga is not normally my gig.  I always liked the fast pace of the kick boxing type workouts and fast dancing, Yoga always seemed a little boring for me.  My friend and I were chatting and she is a diehard Yoga fan and convinced me to give it a try.

So my first introduction to the Yoga world was last night with Real Bodywork's Gentle Practice, and let me tell you, every mom needs to do Yoga!

The Laker game was on and Gavin was asleep, so it was the perfect time!  I plopped Ellianna into my husband's lap and tuned out his protests.  Then walked into the playroom with a yoga mat under one arm and my Real Bodywork's Gentle Practice DVD under the other.

My only memory of ever doing real Yoga (the Wii fit definitely does not count) was a class that I went to once with my mom.  I remember it being very long and the room was too warm and humid, it also had an odious reminder of an ex boyfriend's gym socks.  So I was definitely not sure if I was going to like this.

Five minutes into the DVD I knew I found something that I was going to work into my weekly routine.  Leslie from Real Bodywork picked the perfect DVD for me.    Imagine a block of time to relax, where no one can bother you (or if they do, just ignore them).   I did the first practice session for 33 minutes, and it was so wonderful and soothing.  I could feel each muscle stretch and loosen up.  The directions were so calm and based on breathing, even a rookie like me felt great while doing it.  By the end of the video I knew that I would sleep very well afterwards.  I think that once my husband gets used to watching Ellie without my help I will start doing some of the longer routines.

There are three practice sessions of different lengths per level and there are two levels, so you definitely can find the perfect Yoga session for your time frame and level.  That is  There is also a great Pose Guide on Real Bodywork's Gentle Practice DVD under the other.
Here is a screenshot of the Pose Guide pictured above, so many great poses to learn and work on with amazing instruction.  Here are a couple that I learned below:

I was given this product for free and received no compensation.  The opinions described above are my own and others may have different views and outcomes.
