Last month I started trying to eat better and live healthier and decided to start blogging about it.
Four years ago before getting pregnant with my first child I was a size zero. While I looked and felt great, I led an unhealthy lifestyle. Between work and hours at the gym, nibbling power bars, and popping a diet pill every morning, I was a far cry from a role model.
Now as an unpleasantly plump mother of two I have decided that I do want to look and feel great, but I want to do it in a healthy manner. I want to lead a healthy lifestyle in which to raise my family in. I want there to always be veggies on our plate, time outside, and enjoyable exercise to get our blood pumping.
This blog will serve as a food journal, exercise tracker, weight recorder, and daily diary.
Welcome to day one of my new life...

Good for you! I recently read 'The Kind Diet' by Alicia Silverstone. And although she's a hardcore vegan, and that's not what I aspire to, she has a fantastic outlook on eating healthy and I've really picked up on a lot (and have lost almost 7lbs in the process!)
We're eating a lot more veggies and I've tried ones that I've never cooked before or in ways I've never cooked them. A family favorite is roasted cauliflower. Here's the link: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/roasted-garlic-cauliflower/detail.aspx
Good luck!
Lauren- GREAT idea for a blog! I wish you much success!
